Key Largo, Islamorada Fishing Report

Well the name of the game is get to Flamingo and the Gulf to bend the rod. Fishing has really picked up. The water temps are back up to 70 degrees and the bait is moving back into the Flamingo area from the Gulf. Fishing the edges of flats with cajun thunders with a YUM Houdini Crab and YUM Sweet Cheeks has produced a lot of nice Trout. The Redfish bite has continued to get better as well. A white or watermelon Houdini Shad under the mangroves has been the choice of bait.

The run to Flamingo from Islamorada is 20 miles give or take depending on the weather and route you take. It is well worth it.
